Alaina and I videotaped our walk to school from our apartment to the bus stop, and at the end of the video, a short clip of our school. It's a HUGE file, though, so we just posted it to her blog. Hi, Katie! About to email you but thought I'd catch up on your blog first. :) Loved the video! I would say it was more or less in keeping with your descriptions; the city looked perhaps a bit more modern than I might have imagined. I was thinking reading your blog about how this is probably your most concentrated experience of living an urban environment IN GENERAL, let alone one so culturally different! I was particularly struck by the astonishing prevalence of mopeds--and Alaina's skilful dodging thereof on the walk to school! And no real sidewalks for much of the walk! Thank you for blogging! :)
